A straight answer
Yes or No Tarot Reading
Take a breath, hold your question in mind, then shuffle when you feel ready.
How the answer is decided
Each of the 78 cards carries a traditional leaning. The bright, forward-moving cards — the Aces, the Sun, most of Wands and Cups — answer yes. Cards of delay, loss or hard truth lean no. Balanced or conditional cards give a maybe. A reversal softens a strong answer into a maybe, and turns an already uncertain card towards no.
Ask a good question
Yes/no tarot rewards precision. “Should I take the job in March?” will give you something usable; “will my life get better?” will not. Avoid asking the same question repeatedly — if you do not like the answer, that reaction is often the real reading.
When maybe is the honest answer
A maybe is not the deck dodging you. It usually means the outcome still depends on a choice nobody has made yet, and that a wider reading would serve you better. Try the past, present and future spread to see the shape of the situation instead.
